The famous British street artist Banksy pulled a great stunt in New York City over the weekend.

He set up a stall in Central Park and sold original paintings for $60 – even though they are worth tens of thousands of dollars each.

But because most people don’t know him or his art – or because they thought the paintings were knockoffs – they walked right past the stall all day.

Only three people took advantage of the one-day sale. These three lucky people ended up spending $420 for artwork that is worth anywhere from $220,000 to $320,000.

One woman actually haggled to get the paintings at half price.
