A springtime Snow Storm is forecast for the Sioux Falls area from Sunday night into Monday.

Moderate to heavy rain can be expected into this evening eventually changing to snow. 1 to 3" of snow will be possible in Sioux Falls as Monday morning commute begins, so plan accordingly!

The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls states that rain will continue today. Temperatures will quickly cool and rain may turn to snow late this evening and overnight.

Snow accumulations are expected, and temperatures will determine just how much falls. By Monday morning this storm will be moving away and the snow will quickly melt with warmer temperatures next week.

The most snow to fall in May in Sioux Falls was 3 inches back in 1944.
