Additional Information

Sioux Falls native band, The Spill Canvas, consists of Lead Singer and Guitarist Nick Thomas, Drummer Joe Beck, Guitarist Dan Ludeman, and Bassist Scott Mcguire. They are known nationally for their hit single "All Over You" which cracked the Top 40 in 2008. The band toured extensively throughout the US, and even getting in a few trips to Europe. They played to sold out shows, and performed with bands such as Plain White Tee's, Motion City Soundtrack, and One Republic. In 2010, they toured on two runs with The Goo Goo Dolls. At that time, the band decided to take an "indefinite hiatus." However, fate brought all 4 members back to Sioux Falls by the summer of 2011. By August of 2011, The Spill Canvas officially announced an end to their hiatus, and began plans to record a new album. The band spent much of the fall of 2011 writing songs, and through funding from fans who donated to the band's Kickstarter campaign, they were able to head back into the studio in early 2012.

This latest album was recorded at Cathouse studios in Sioux Falls--coincidentally the same studio and same engineer (Mike Dresch) that produced "Sunsets and Car Crashes," bringing the band's journey full circle and back to its roots in Sioux Falls. The Spill Canvas' new album,"Gestalt," was released in late spring of 2012.
