Eric Lutz Wins Huset’s [VIDEO]
Sunday night at Huset’s Speedway the outlaw sprints had the night off. The 360 sprints were in the showcase with added purse money on the line.
Sioux Falls, SD driver Eric Lutz in the #5 car drove to victory. It was Lutz’s first win at the track this season after a stellar 5 win season last year.
We’ll watch some footage of the race involving a couple cautions that came out in the later portion of the 25 lap main event. First, let’s pick up the action with 10 laps to go:
Sorry about the video being a little shaky, that’s me running the camera while announcing at the same time. But at least I kept the camera on the track.
Now back to the restart, and again trouble will be bringing out a caution with a car going into the wall in turn 2 after a few laps into this attempt to finish the race:
With 4 laps remaining, let’s finish this deal:
Eric Lutz led laps 8-25 in the victory. Ryan Bickett was 2nd, Micah Schlieman 3rd, Matt Juhl raced from 14th to 4th and Casey Abbas went from 10th to 5th.
Other class winners were defending champion Shane Fick in the micro sprints. It was Fick’s 1st Huset’s victory this season after starting the race in 6th. Craig Hanisch got win number 3 in the street stock division.
Dustin Kruse won his 3rd for the year in the b mods and the happiest guy of all was Travis Vanden Top in the hobby stocks winning his 1st ever at Huset’s.
