Eric Clapton Plays JJ Cale Tribute Show

Singer/Songwriter JJ Cale passed away July 26, 2013. Last Tuesday (August 6) several of Cale's friends and collaborators, including Eric Clapton and Jim Keltner, gathered at a private, by invitation only show at McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica, California to reminisce and celebrate the life and music of Cale.

Seated L-R is Don White, EC, Marty Rifkin, Jim Keltner. It was a small gathering that included friends and bandmates.

Clapton did "Cocaine" and "After Midnight;" Don White did "Magnolia." For a little while,  Teegarden, Van Winkle and Eric all played together.

Clapton played a 1930's Gibson L5 guitar that was a gift from Cale several years ago.
