Dude Wears Pasta Strainer for ID Photo

A college student in Texas says he is the first American allowed to wear a pasta strainer on his head for a government-issued ID photo. Eddie Castillo claimed that he was a member of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Castillo, a self-proclaimed pastafarian, said he should be allowed to wear the strainer because it was a part of his religion. The satirical religion was originally cited by writer Bobby Henderson to dispute the government's ability to validate or side with any one religion. A previous attempt by a New Jersey man to wear a strainer for a driver's license picture was shot down.
