School is going to be out soon and if you're a Sioux Empire mom, just dreading hearing that first "there's nothing to do!" complaint from your kids, take a breath and relax.

The Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation Summer Activities Guide is out, but don't look for it in your mail, SFP&R is saving taxpayer's money and being kinder to our environment by not mailing them. You can, however, pick it up all over town.

You'll find it at Kenny Anderson, MariCar, and Morningside Community Centers, the Great Plains Zoo, the Midco Aquatic Center and all other aquatic facilities. The Outdoor Campus, City Hall, Falls Park Visitor Center, the libraries, and Great Bear will have them, and they'll be distributed through Sioux Falls public and Catholic grade schools, and other locations. But, if you want access to it immediately, if not sooner, it's online too.

No matter what your kids and your family are interested in you'll find it going on this summer in Sioux Falls! Programs and classes in music, art, theater, health and fitness, aquatics and other sports, as well as pet ownership and care, and even stargazing will all be available through Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation.

The Sioux Falls Municipal Band has a full schedule of free performances again this summer and Storyland Children's Theatre will keep you and your kids entertained with their lively and imaginative performances at McKennan Park Bandshell. You can also check out the calendar of events everyday for something going on!

Online registration for classes opens at 8 AM on Monday, May 15, 2017.
