Authorities would like to talk with the dog owner after a dog bite incident Monday on one of the bike trails. On Monday, September 21, around 10:00 AM, Sioux Falls Animal Control responded to a dog bite that happened on the bike trail near East 14th Street and Cliff Avenue . While walking on the bike trail, as a man passed a woman, her dog bit the man on the leg.

She is white, has shoulder length blonde hair, is approximately 5'6” tall, and was wearing a gray tank top with a gray hoodie tied around her waist and possibly light blue shorts.

The woman’s dog is a black miniature poodle on a pink leash who was possibly named Marley. The dog owner stopped to see if the man was all right, and at that time he thought that he was. He later found that the dog bite had broken skin and caused bleeding.

The dog owner walked north towards the Kwik Stop at East 10th Street and South Cliff Avenue where the victim lost sight of her.

Animal Control needs to identify the dog in this incident to verify its vaccinations. If you have any information on this case, please call Animal Control at 367-7000.
