Does Bug Spray Clean Foggy Headlights?

This morning on the show, somehow we got on the topic of my foggy headlights. On my car, people! Get your head out of the gutter.

Anyway, we had a few listeners text and call in that Off! Deep Woods cleans foggy headlights so I figured I'd try it. However, not that I don't trust our listeners, I did some online research and apparently it is a thing that people do.

So I went and got me some bug spray and tried this out.

I wasn't sure how much to put on or for how long so I pretty much sprayed the headlights real good. Covered them until it was kind of drippy and then waited like 45 seconds. Then I wiped them off with a paper towel. And by golly, gee whiz, I think it worked! Take a look for yourself

I mean, my car is in need of a bath anyway, but can you believe how grody that paper towel is?! No wonder the headlight was foggy.

In my brief research, I never did find an absolute reason for why the bug spray works, but I'd say so far so good.

I'll let you know if a couple days down the road something goes wrong with my lights, but like I said before, our listeners suggested this and I trust them!
