If you had to choose just one food that you would have to live on forever, what would it be? For me it would be pizza.

But chances are if I ate only pizza for every meal my 'forever' would not be that long.

Popular Science recently published some information on the one food that you could eat and probably survive on rather well.

Turns out it's the potato. Back in 2016 Andrew Taylor ate basically just potatoes for the whole year.

He did have B12 supplements but other than that ate potatoes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And not only did he remain very healthy he also lost weight and says he felt more energized.

It's long been known that the common potato is packed with vitamins and nutrients. Back in the 1800's the majority of the Irish population got most of their food calories and nutrients from the tuber.

The problem with eating lots of spuds isn't the tater itself, but the stuff we pile on top of it.

Which brings up the age old question: "Without Sour Cream, Butter, Chives, & Bacon, is a baked potato really a potato?
