Blizzard has finally announced the release date for Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls, the first expansion for the game. Not only that, but they've revealed the extras you can get from the Digital Deluxe and Collector's Editions.

The announcement that Reaper of Souls would be released on March 25, 2014 was made on the official Diablo site. The expansion adds a fifth Act to the story, more loot rewards, the Crusader class, new abilities and skills, new features like the Mystic and Adventure Mode, Bounties and Nephalem Rifts. It will be available for purchase as a Digital Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition.

The Digital Deluxe Edition will come with the following:

  • A collection of exclusive helm and weapon transmogrification recipes.
  • A Spectral hound minion.
  • Three additional character slots.
  • An in-game Treasure Goblin companion pet for World of Warcraft.
  • Crusader-themed Battle.net portraits and Malthael-themed decals for StarCraft 2.
A physical Collector's Edition will also be available later one, which will contain all of the above plus the following:
  • Malthael mouse pad
  • Hardback Collector's Edition art book
  • Behind-the-scenes Blu-Ray/DVD two-disc set
The Standard Edition will sell for $39.99, the Digital Deluxe Edition for $59.99 and the Collector's Edition for $79.99.
Now, this date and these editions are currently only for the PC and Mac versions of the game, so we have yet to hear about the Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition for PlayStation 4. But you can follow this link to pre-purchase the digital versions of the expansion.
