Deep Purple-Remembering Lord

A Jon Lord tribute concert is being planned for early next year in England.

The late Deep Purple founding member and keyboardist will be remembered at a tribute concert in London that is being organized by Jacky Paice, the wife of Purple drummer Ian Paice. It's the annual Sunflower Jam show she organizes, which benefits cancer charities, and is being planned for early next year. Lord succumbed to pancreatic cancer last summer.

Ian Paice has been honored with his own beer. Castle Rock Brewery in Nottingham, England has introduced Ian Paice Celebration Ale as part of its series of one-off seasonal beers named after famous people born in Nottingham. It is described as a “dark bitter with a slight 'smoke on the water.'"
