A spokesperson for David Bowie denies a U.K. report that he plans to perform next year, saying he has "no current plans" to do so. This week's story had rival promoters Live Nation and AEG each trying to lure the singer into doing a one-off show in London to celebrate his 50th anniversary as a performer.

Bowie’s booking agent, John Giddings, says, “Nobody would be more pleased than me if David Bowie toured. The last time he played the U.K. was at Isle of Wight in 2004. Don’t think I haven’t thought about how great it would be if he came back on the 10th anniversary of that show.”

Bowie, who released his latest album in January, The Next Day, has not toured since 2004 and his last public performance was in 2006.
