Dave Grohl Teams Up With Slipknot, Corrosion of Conformity Stars in New Supergroup
The Teenage Time Killers project is spearheaded by the Corrosion of Conformity rhythm section of Reed Mullin and Mike Dean. It will feature a lengthy list of guest stars such as Grohl, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, Dead Kennedys legend Jello Biafra, former Queens of the Stone Age bassist Nick Oliveri and many more. According to Kerrang, the group's debut album is already recorded and will be released sometime in 2015 by Rise Records.
"We had all these other folks that want to participate," Mullin told NME back in February. "It’s a very good mixture of old hardcore punk, punk and metal stuff … People are going to be pleasantly surprised. It’s pretty cool."
Grohl, of course, is no stranger to collaborative projects, with highlights of his non-Nirvana and Foo Fighters career including the 2004 all-star heavy metal album 'Probot,' his stint as Queen of the Stone Age's drummer and his 2009 team-up with Josh Homme and Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones in Them Crooked Vultures.
