Dave Grohl joined his Foo Fighters bandmates Taylor Hawkins and Chris Shiflett Saturday night as their side project, Chevy Metal, performed at the Costa Mesa Fairgrounds in Southern California.

Grohl sang and played guitar on Van Halen’s “Panama,” The Rolling Stones’ “Miss You,” The Knack's “My Sharona,” Queen and David Bowie’s “Under Pressure” and more. Grohl told the audience that Chevy Metal is the “one band in the world [he] wishes he could be in,” but he doesn’t get invited enough to sit in because their drummer, Hawkins, “is awesome.”
