The New York Post is reporting that former Miami Dolphins quarterback and CBS NFL analyst Dan Marino fathered a child with a former CBS Sports production assistant and then paid her millions to keep it quiet.

Donna Savattere, a then-35-year-old production assistant at CBS Sports’ Manhattan studio gave birth to Chloe in June of 2005, the same year Marino was inducted into the Hall of Fame:

According to the New York Post:

They had an affair, and she had a baby,” said a source. “Everything was on the down-low and secretive.”

This news comes just days before Marino is supposed to co-host CBS' coverage of the Super Bowl.

Marino has admitted to the affair.  He and his wife have been married for 28 years and have six children together. He said:

This is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then,” he told The Post in a written statement. “We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved.”
