A motorcyclist was injured and a teenaged driver was cited after a collision Wednesday night in Sioux Falls.

Police say the vehicles collided around 10:40pm at the intersection of East 26th Street and South Cleveland Avenue.

Officer Sam Clemens says both vehicles were on 26th Street when they crashed.

He says the driver of the eastbound car was turning to go north and the motorcyclist was going west with a green light.

The car driver told officers she was unsure if she had a green light or a green arrow, but she did not see the motorcyclist and she struck the cycle.

Clemens says the 16-year-old girl driving the car was cited for failure to yield and violation of a license restriction.

The 20-year-old man on the motorcycle was taken to a hospital with leg injuries.
