CSNY, Heart to Bridge School Benefit
Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young, Heart, and Elvis Costello will be among the artists performing at the 2013 Bridge School Benefit. The two shows on October 26th and 27th at Mountain View, California’s Shoreline Amphitheatre mark CSNY’s first four-man show since the wrap of their 2006 Freedom Of Speech trek — and the first time Neil Young and Stephen Stills have shared the stage since Young infamously bailed on a proposed high profile and financially rewarding Buffalo Springfield reunion at the 11th hour. Vintage Vinyl News reported that among the other artists slated to perform over the two day benefits will be Queens Of The Stoneage, My Morning Jacket, the Killers (October 26th only), Diana Krall, fun., and Jenny Lewis, among other guests.
All proceeds from the concerts go to the Bridge School, a non-profit organization educating children with severe speech and physical impairments through the use of augmentative and alternative communication systems and assistive technology. The Bridge School was founded in 1986 by Neil Young’s wife Pegi and others to meet the needs of their children and other families in the Bay Area. The couple’s son Ben was born with cerebral palsy, and he attended the school.
