Someday when you're driving through upstate New York, you may be programming the name of a dead rock & roll great into your GPS - at least if one New York lawmaker has his way.

Assemblyman Kevin Cahill introduced legislation to rename part of a road in Woodstock after The Band drummer Levon Helm, who passed away last year from cancer.

The measure calls for a stretch of State Route 375 to be re-named 'Levon Helm Memorial Boulevard.'

Helm lived in Woodstock and held "Midnight Ramble" concerts at his home.
