PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - A Nebraska-based company that makes kits for building traditional barns is expanding into South Dakota.

Sand Creek Post and Beam is expected to create 20 jobs in North Sioux City in the next three years.

The company makes kits for building custom-designed barns with wooden posts and beams.

Len Dickinson, the president of Sand Creek Post and Beam, says the company gets most of its timbers from the Black Hills. He says the company is seeking well-trained sales people in the North Sioux City area.

State and local economic development officials helped the company select a site in North Sioux City for its South Dakota expansion.
