Clapton Sells Rare Watch For $3.6 Million

Apparently it's not just Eric Clapton's guitars that are highly valued. His platinum Patek Philippe wristwatch just sold for $3.6 million at a Swiss auction house. This isn't your every day timepiece -- the extremely rare chronograph also shows moon phases. Clapton had owned it since 1987; why he sold it is anyone's guess.

Surprisingly, despite its celebrity connection, Clapton's watch wasn't the most expensive one sold at Monday's auction. A 1952 Patek Philippe model went for $4 million.
