I would like to state that this is not one of my satirical fake news posts. This happened in real life. I guess.

Today (August 1) at 41st and Louise Avenue in Sioux Falls a group that calls themselves Bloodstained Men walked around with a banner that read "Circumcision Cruelty to Boys."

Our buddy Mitchell Olson happened to be driving through the intersection and snapped a photo showing a man with a fake blood stain in the crotch of his pants. The woman also had the same stain though I'm not sure she is trying to show the same symbolism.

They will be in Rapid City tomorrow (August 2).

The group has a beef with the practice, more widely used in the United States, of circumcising infant boys.

The Royal Dutch Medical Association reports:
"International physicians protest against American Academy of Pediatrics’ policy on infant male circumcision. Circumcision conflicts with children’s rights and doctors’ oath and can have serious long-term consequences, state an international group of 38 physicians from 16 European countries in Pediatrics today."

According to the Mayo Clinic it has a number of benefits, but also has risks.

I'll be honest, I was circumcised, my sons were circumcised. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. If this is their cause, fine. They get their attention and move on.

Now I am going to go eat lunch, because I have wasted far too much attention on something so silly.
