Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell will launch a solo acoustic tour of North America this fall, starting on October 15th in San Diego and wrapping up six weeks later on November 30th in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Named Songbook like his first solo trek in 2011, the shows will find Cornell drawing material from all stages of his career -- including the first-ever acoustic performances of tracks from Soundgarden's recent album, King Animal.

One dollar of each ticket sold on the new tour will go to the newly launched Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation, which gives aid to the most vulnerable children. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit ChildHaven's Creative Music Therapy Program Expansion.
Pre-sales for the tour will begin on August 14th and 15th, with full public ticket sales starting on the 16th.
Soundgarden recently completed a lengthy world tour in support of King Animal, the band's first all-new album in 16 years and first since reuniting in 2010.
