However, it turns out that the announcement was premature to say the very least. Sony, who produces the the show for AMC, says that no deal is in place at the moment.

It was revealed today that Universal has agreed to co-finance Seth MacFarlane's upcoming Western comedy, 'A Million Ways to Die in the West,' finally putting the film on the fast track to production.
