An alleged carjacker was punched in the face and run over when he threatened to harm the driver's children. The ordeal began when Dorothy Baker drove home from a local CVS in Texas after shopping with her two sons. A man who was hiding behind the minivan crept up on her and brandished a knife demanding money. Dorothy explains, "I asked him how much he needed and he said $200. And I told him I didn't have that kind of cash, I had about $20 in my account, and he said I better figure out a way to get it, or my kids were going to get hurt." The alleged attacker, Ismael Martinez, noticed that Baker had dialed 911 on her cell phone and the pair began to struggle. Baker was able to wrestle the knife out of Martinez's hand, then punched him in the face and ordered him out of the car. He jumped out of the car and ran, and she followed him to stop him from harming others. Baker said she tried to clip him with the car, but accidentally ran him over. Martinez was taken to the hospital in Houston with serious injuries, and is expected to face felony charges once he's discharged.
