Imagine, one minute you're leisurely grilling in your driveway, the next minute there's a car in your garage, and here's the kicker, it's not yours!

A resident in Brandon, South Dakota had that very experience on Saturday night.

KDLT News is reporting that a garage at home in Brandon received extensive damage when a vehicle traveling northbound on Sioux Boulevard was not successful in negotiating a turn at the intersection located in front of the home.

The car ended up driving through the side of the homes garage, and then immediately proceeded to speed off, in what sounds like something that would resemble a scene from an episode of the Dukes of Hazard.

As luck would have it for the driver, the license plate on the car fell off the vehicle during the incident. The homeowner recovered it, and Brandon Police were able to arrest the driver, Brandon resident Brett Hoffmann, a short time later.

Hoffman was charged with reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. According to the report, Hoffman's car also received significant damage.
