Car, Bicycle Crash in Sioux Falls Injures 15-Year-Old Girl; No Charges Filed
A car-bicycle crash Wednesday afternoon in southwest Sioux Falls that injured a 15-year-old girl resulted in an immediate citation against the driver.
But no charges have been filed yet against the woman whose vehicle struck and killed a 22-year-old Sioux Falls woman on her bicycle a week earlier.
Information Officer Sam Clemens says the investigation into the crash last week is still going on:
The 88-year-old driver in the crash this week was ticketed for "not exercising due caution."
Police say she was unaware she had hit the 15-year-old bicyclist until she had dragged both bike and rider 15 feet.
