Burglary Report Leads to Husband, Wife Arrest in Sioux Falls
A report to Sioux Falls Police of a burglary late Thursday afternoon resulted in a pursuit and two people in custody.
Officer Sam Clemens says a woman who lives in the 1300 block of South Riverdale Road called around 6:45pm to say someone was trying to break into her house:
Clemens says an officer tried to stop the vehicle at 16th and Cliff, but the pursuit ended in a driveway at the suspect’s home in the 300 block of North Wayland Avenue. He says the driver, 28-year-old Kimberly Van Alsburg, was arrested for second-offense DWI, driving with a revoked license, eluding and an open container.
Her husband, 29-year-old Cody VanLoh, was charged with two counts of simple assault and felony intentional damage to property.
The resident of the house and her mother were not injured.
