Having your baby's first shoes bronzed is making a comeback. For years it was common place for parents to have their baby's first pair of shoes bronzed, and then for some reason the keepsake idea fell out of fashion. Well, now it's back in vogue.

After bottoming out in the 1990's, The American Bronzing Company located in central Ohio has started an aggressive campaign on social media - and it appears to be paying off.

Just in the last six months, their Facebook page has racked up nearly 80 thousand likes and business has increased 25 percent.  They're currently bronzing about 100 pairs of shoes a day - everything from tiny Nikes, to ballet slippers, to Crocs.  The company has even ventured out and is now bronzing things like dog collars.

According to a company spokesperson, the most unusual thing they've bronzed was a giant clove of garlic for a reputed mob boss.
