Word out of the sports world on Sunday was that former Arena Football League team owner Jon Bon Jovi is interested in buying the NFL’s Buffalo Bills. They aren’t for sale, but with owner Ralph Wilson at 95 years old, it's believed his family will unload the team when his time is up.

Sources say Jon has “spent considerable time in the Buffalo-area getting to know politicians and power brokers and even added a date there late in a recent tour to allow for more time to allocate to the matter.” In addition to once owning the Philadelphia Soul of the AFL, he also tried becoming a minority owner of the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons, but has his sights set on being a principle owner.

And here is something new regarding Richie Sambora leaving the Bon Jovi tour in the spring. Sources say it’s because Jon wanted to cut costs so he can afford to buy a team. Sambora was the highest-paid band member.
