When Bon Jovi was booking their European tour, Spain wasn't originally on the list of stops. But Jon Bon Jovi decided the band WOULD play Madrid, and would NOT take a fee for the show!

Spain has been one of the hardest hit countries following the 2008 financial meltdown with high unemployment, high inflation and low growth. The country has still not pulled out of the recession.

As a result of Bon Jovi's generosity, tickets for the show were just a fraction of the cost of other shows on the tour. The Madrid show is completely sold out.
