Grateful Dead co-founder Bob Weir has a string of dates on the books for February and March. Weir will be performing four Colorado shows with Furthur -- his band with Dead bassist Phil Lesh -- one in Denver and three in Broomfield. He'll also play four solo acoustic dates in Sante Fe; Tuscon; Las Vegas; and Ventura, California; before moving up for a pair of shows with his RatDog Quartet in Mill Valley, California.

Weir was asked about one of his classic Dead tunes, the 1977 Terrapin Station standout, "Estimated Prophet": "It's basically an acid casualty. A guy who took too much acid and has this notion of California and has this notion of this message that he has to give, and stuff like that. And being in the Grateful Dead, we met a number of these kind of folks. They'd introduce themselves, they'd be fascinated by us and what we're up to and, generally speaking, we would figure somewhere in their little cosmology."

February 21 - Denver, CO - Ogden Theatre (Furthur)
February 22, 23, 24 - Broomfield, CO - First Bank Center (Furthur)
