A friend of mine makes his annual trek to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally with one thing on his mind: spreading the gospel to the thousands of bikers from around the world. Bob Hanus is known as "The Crosswalker."

"Every year it's just as crazy as it is. But, officials are preparing for up to one point two to one point four million visitors. That's just going to be a crazy venue. Although it's turned into a two week long rally. officially the event lasts only a week. So many people flood Sturgis for that first week. We literally get people from all over the planet."

Hanus, who has been coming to Sturgis for the past 22 years, says some people are surprised to see him at the rally.

"You get a lot of people that come to Sturgis for the very first time. The last thing they expect to see is a 14 foot cross and somebody carrying it down the middle of main street. I get a chance to talk to so many people and share the love of Jesus. It's pretty cool because people come from all walks of life. So many of them are bound to addictions, broken relationships and physical ailments. I tell everyone Jesus is the answer."

Hanus, who is the rally's police chaplain, is well known at the yearly event.

"The folks will go out of their way to get a picture with the Cross. I am able to get to know them and make a personal connection. I am proud to say many of the visitors are receptive to hearing the Good News!"

Bob "The Crosswalker"  Hanus eagerly shares his personal testimony of cocaine and alcohol addiction during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
