Chad Campbell, Executive Director of the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House, says the Sioux Falls Facility is setting records.

"For the first time since we opened, the House has hit over a thousand individuals that have been with us and have been utilizing our night time services. 792 men and 234 women for a total of 1026 unique people have come to us since we opened. That's astonishing!"

Campbell says the House is changing lives for the better.

"We have had 59 total families that have utilized our services. At the present time, 31 of those families have been transitioned into their own housing. That includes a 133 children that have been identified as homeless in the Sioux Falls community."

Campbell says homelessness definitely exists in Sioux Falls.

"To me it's very alarming that we are experiencing so much homelessness in the city. But, it's very rewarding for me that we have the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House that is helping these individuals move ahead and move forward. Our biggest goal is transitioning these folks from homelessness into their own homes and properties."

The Bishop Dudley Hospitality House opened in January, 2015.
