Beatles Promoting Traffic Safety in India
People have long wanted to be like The Beatles. But this might be the first time we've seen government ask you to follow the example of John, Paul, George and Ringo. The BBC reports that Calcutta, India has licensed the Abbey Road album's famed cover photo for a billboard campaign to promote pedestrian safety.
The slogan for the campaign goes: "If they can, why can't you?" Local authorities want pedestrians to walk single file -- as the Fab Four are seen -- and stick to the painted crosswalks to cut down on accidents.
