More than 1600 Beatles fans came together Friday in their hometown of Liverpool, England to sing their first single, "Love Me Do," on the 50th anniversary of its release. In doing so, they set a new Guinness Book of World Records mark for the most people singing in the round.

"Hey Jude" has been named the U.K.'s favorite Beatles song in a BBC radio poll published to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their recording career. Coming in second was "Yesterday" followed by "Let It Be." All three were written by Paul McCartney.
