Monday was the probably best day for Badfinger in decades. Within hours after the Beatles proteges' spring 1972 hit "Baby Blue" was the soundtrack of Breaking Bad's final scene, it became one of hottest songs online.

Spotify said streaming volume of the track was up an astounding 9,000-percet and the song had also moved to Number One on iTunes Top Rock Songs chart. Joey Molland, the band's last surviving member, tells us, "Yes it's astounding, number-one in the [iTunes] rock chart, unbelievable. When I heard it last night [on TV], I was stunned. My son Shaun is a big Breaking Bad fan and we recorded every episode. What a surprise -- great news for all the Badfinger families, especially [the late] Pete [Ham]'s of course. What a difference a day makes."
