B Rock Note: George Thorogood Releases First Solo Album

It's like George Thorogood told his backing band the Destroyers to take a vacation. He had work to do - alone. The bluesy rocker's first solo album Party of One dropped Friday.

George carefully selected the songs on his new album, even remixing "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer."

He talks to Ken Dashow of Q104 - WAXQ - in New York City about recording these songs that were inspired by his musical heroes.

George is currently on a tour of the Midwest with a show Wednesday (August 9, 2017) at the WH Lyon Fairgrounds in Sioux Falls.
