Sterling Whitaker is a Nashville-based musician and music journalist. He is the author of two books: 'Unsung Heroes of Rock Guitar' and 'The Grand Delusion: The Unauthorized True Story of Styx.' He has appeared as a guest on VH1, BBC Radio and radio all over North America. Whitaker is also very involved in animal rescue.

The Doobie Brothers have enjoyed more than four decades of hit records and world tours, and now the group will chronicle their musical adventures in a new documentary. 'Let the Music Play' is slated for release on DVD, Blu-ray and digital video on Nov. 13 via Eagle Rock Entertainment.

Beatles Penis Painting Defaced at Liverpool Gallery

It looks like art buyers in England might not be able to get their hands on the Beatles' genitalia anymore. An exhibit depicting the penises of the Beatles (an image of which can be seen here) has been defaced while on display at the Museum of Liverpool, putting an upcoming auction at risk.

Kathi McDonald, Former Rolling Stones and Joe Cocker Vocalist, Dead at 64

Well-respected blues and rock singer Kathi McDonald, who sang on classic albums by the Rolling Stones, Joe Cocker and many others, has died at the age of 64. According to Toronto Blues Diary, McDonald slipped into a coma on Tuesday and never woke up again. No cause of death has been revealed.
