Good job, Golden Globes! Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are set to host this year's Golden Globes ceremony, which is scheduled for January 13, 2013. The duo have previously anchored 'Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update desk together, and co-starred in the 2008 film 'Baby Mama.'
We know that 'Thor: The Dark World' has been filming, and is scheduled to hit theaters in a year (November 8, 2013 to be exact), but now Marvel has released their synopsis, which gives us a greater sense of what the film is, and how much (or little) 'The Avengers' plays into the sequel.
Looks like the 'Gangster Squad' marketing has recovered from the movie's delay and reshoots, as we're now being bombarded with looks at the film. Now there's five character posters that help show the look and feel of the fillm.
After today's underwhelming clip from 'Skyfall,' it's nice that they put out a clip with some action and excitement in it. It looks like the film opens with an insane train action set piece, and the end of it sees Daniel Craig's James Bond take a large, er, fall. Check out the clip.
It's been almost a decade since 'Gigli' nearly destroyed Ben Affleck's career, but in the time since Affleck went from leading man (of less than leading movies), to auteur as the writer/director behind 'Gone Baby Gone,' 'The Town' and this weekend's 'Argo.' And now he's already lining up his next gig.
'Zero Dark Thirty' looks like the collision of a number of great things. Add Kathryn Bigelow - the first woman to win a Best Directing Oscar - to a based on a true story procedural about the hunting and killing of Osama Bin-Laden, and a cast that includes Kyle Chandler, Jessica Chastain, Joel Edgerton, Chris Pratt, and Mark Strong, and you've got a winning combination. Now there's a new trailer for this likely Oscar front-runner.
After being delayed by 'The Dark Knight Rises' theater shooting, and after a round of reshoots that removed gunplay in a theater setting, it looks like 'Gangster Squad' is back into fighting shape, and now there's a new trailer that shows a lot of new footage (and removes the shootout in the theater).
When 'The Bourne Legacy' was released, producer Frank Marshall mentioned that he hoped a fifth film would bring the characters played by Matt Damon and Jeremy Renner together. This may be wishful thinking as Damon has recently said that he doesn't think he'll go back for more.
Though they may have taken a long time in finishing their shoot, it looks like Quentin Tarantino's latest 'Django Unchained' will be hitting theaters just in time for Christmas (release date: December 25), and though we haven't heard much about the film recently, we've just gotten a new 'Django Unchained' trailer.
Universal is going forward with their 'Van Hesling' reboot, and currently have Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman attached as writers and producers, and Tom Cruise attached as the star (and producer... when you're successful, you get to produce your hits). Now it looks like Rupert Sanders' hat is in the ring for the directing gig (no word if he will also get to produce).
