Noted rock biographer Phillip Norman has just published his new 640-page book on Mick Jagger, titled Mick. Norman, best known for various books over the years on the Beatles, John Lennon, Buddy Holly, the Rolling Stones, and Elton John, was able to strip away the  public persona of the Stones frontman and delve into the private life buried under the superstar glitz.

Norman says that although there are plenty of skeletons in his past, Jagger has always remained a very even-keeled and almost ordinary man.

Also just released on Tuesday (November 13th) was the Stones’ latest greatest hits set, titled, Grrr! The career-spanning collection is available in several different formats — including a three-CD 50-track version and a four-CD Super-Deluxe version featuring 80 tracks. It also features two brand new songs.

The Stones have also added a third New York-area show to their upcoming dates, with their first ever show at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center now set for December 8th. The band also has two London shows on November 25th and 29th at London’s O2 Arena and a pair of gigs at Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center on December 13th and 15th.
The Stones’ new career-spanning HBO documentary, Crossfire Hurricane, will premiere on Thursday (November 15th).
