What a great night for local college teams beginning the NSIC post season.

The Augustana women's basketball team advanced to the quarterfinals of the NSIC Tournament after their 70-61 win over Minot State. The Vikings were led by junior guard Logan O'Farrell who nearly recorded a triple-double.

Augustana will play number five Winona State in the NSIC Quarterfinals on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. The Vikings and Warriors will play at the Sanford Pentagon.

University of Sioux Falls Women defeated St. Cloud State, 65-51. The Cougars, Sam Knecht and Madi Robson led the Cougars. Knecht registered her 11th double-double of the season, posting 14 points with 13 rebounds and Robson added 15 points and nine assists. USF will face top-seeded MSU Moorhead on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.

The defending National Champion and number three seed Augustana University men got a career-high 19 points and eight rebounds from senior Zach Huisken in a 74-63 win over Bemidji State in the first round. The Vikings were ranked number six in the latest NCAA Central Region rankings. Augustana advances to the quarterfinals of the NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament and will pay North Division number two seed Northern State at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Drew Guebert knocked home a game-winning three pointer with 2.8 seconds to play, lifting the University of Sioux Falls Men’s Basketball Team to a 80-77 victory over Minot State. The Cougars will meet the tournament's number one seed Southwest Minnesota State at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
