August 27 Is A Magical Date For Airline Deals

The first of the Fall airfare deals have started to show up on travel websites.  Prices for many of the airlines typically drop towards the end of Summer.

According to Rick Seaney of FareCompare, August 27th is a "magical date per say" when airfare prices tend to drop - some by as much as a third.

"The weather's still good and places are less crowded.  For my money it's the absolute best time of the year, right after school gets back in session."

Seaney says now is the perfect time to book for September.  He recommends you wait a week or two though before booking trips for October and November.
