The popular online travel site TripAdvisor® has awarded the National Music Museum in Vermillion, South Dakota the 2016 Certificate of Excellence.

The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality, quantity and reviews submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period.

To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews, and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.

A recent traveler from Oakland, California gave the National Music Museum its highest rating possible - five bubbles.

“There might be a museum somewhere with more instruments in its collection, but I doubt that there is anywhere with more beautiful, historic ones on display.”

Heather Leisman is Vice President of Industry Marketing for TripAdvisor,

"With the Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor honors hospitality businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings from travelers.”

Patricia Bornhofen is spokesperson for the National Music Museum,

“We consider TripAdvisor’s citizen reviews a big yes-vote on the value of the National Music Museum experience.”
