Just because a song is a classic doesn't mean somebody out there isn't sick of it.

The website Thrillist recently pushed out their list of 'Classic Rock Songs We Never Want to Hear Again'. Of the 11 songs on their 'hit list', the following seven are from some of rock's heaviest hitters.

From looking at these seven, I think you can divide them into two distinct categories - memorable hooks and quirky lyrics. Either way, they stand out and can get stuck in your head easily, which I believe is why they seem a bit tired to some people.

When someone mentions the 'Space Cowboy', the 'Gangster of Love', the 'Pompatus of Love', and 'Mau-rice', they can only be talking about this classic. The lyrics don't get much quirkier than this.

This one jumps right in your face with the A cappella chorus open, which is then repeated at regular intervals throughout the song. It's potentially very high on the fatigue factor scale.

This early Eagles' classic got a resurgence in airplay following Glenn Frey's death, but with memorable lines like 'Standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona...' it gets stuck in your head pretty easily.

Any song that spends the last two minutes singing nothing but 'naa naa naa naa naa naa naa, naa naa naa naa, Hey Jude' is bound to get under some people's skin.

These next two songs can thank their 'overplayed' status to one thing - karaoke. The drunker the crowd gets, the more likely someone is going to bust out one of these two.

Not only has karaoke driven this song into the ground, but seemingly every cover band out there has a version.

Honestly, how many times do we need to name check 'Mr. Mojo Risin'? SPOILER ALERT: It's an anagram for Jim Morrison.

Does this list cover them all or did they forget one (or more)?

Got to our Facebook page and add your nomination to this list.
