More fake bills have been found in Sioux Falls, but no further arrests have been made. Police are renewing a call for watchful eyes in the retail industry.

Officer Sam Clemens says some fake bills got all the way to the bank which makes them difficult to track. “We’re not sure where or when they may have been passed.”

Clemens says another case was detected at another fast food restaurant. “There was a car load of people that tried to pass one of those fake bills at the Burger King at Russell and Minnesota. The people that were working caught it and realized that it was fake. The suspects weren’t able to get away with any cash.”

Although the suspects left the restaurant, Clemens is optimistic that they will be caught. “We’ve got some information to follow up on so that hopefully we can find these people.”

In most cases, Clemens says the fake bills they are seeing are of low quality or they clearly say “For Motion Picture Use Only” making them easy to detect. It is undetermined whether these bills are real movie props.
