America On The Road And Heading To Town
America is gearing up for another busy year on the road. The group will be at Grand Falls Casino in Larchwood, IA next Saturday (January 12) and takes a short four-date swing through Ontario, before heading Down Under for a mini-tour of New Zealand with Pat Benatar. After that, the band has a few new dates on the books for March and April, launching their spring U.S. dates on March 3rd in Boise, Idaho.
America -- led by Gerry Beckley and co-founder Dewey Bunnell -- is known for playing a high-octane hit-filled show. Beckley told us that they've never underestimated the importance of America's core fanbase: "We have the most loyal fans; I think you'll find that across the board, no matter who you tap in to, if you go to a lot of these classic acts --- I mean, we have people come 20, 30 times a year. There isn't millions of them, but there's enough to fill 100 shows a year. We go all over the planet."
