Plans are in place for the late AC/DC singer Bon Scott to be honored with a statue in Kirriemuir, Scotland, where he was born in 1946. This will be the second statue erected in his honor, with the first one going on display in October 2008 at the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbor in western Australia.

Scott's family migrated to Melbourne from Scotland when he was six and eventually settled in Fremantle. He died at age 33 in London in February 1980 from acute alcohol poisoning after a night out on the town. He's buried in Fremantle Cemetery.
