Accident With Car Sends Bicyclist to Hospital Driver Cited

An early Friday morning accident sends a bicyclist to the hospital. 

Sioux Falls Police just happened to be in the vicinity when they encountered a car/bicycle accident.   An SUV was in the Juice Stop lot preparing to pull out onto Minnesota Avenue.  A bicyclist was traveling northbound on the sidewalk.  The driver of the vehicle started to pull out of the lot to proceed northbound and the bicyclist struck the right front quarter panel of the SUV.

The bicyclist was hospitalized for non-life threatening injuries while the vehicle driver was cited for “Failure to Yield from a Private Drive”.
