Triple "A" says more South Dakotans are expected to travel over the Thanksgiving weekend than in recent years.

AAA South Dakota says close to 152,000 state residents will be traveling over the holiday weekend, the most since 2007 and 4.7 percent more than in 2013.

Ninety percent of the travelers are expected to go by car, pickup or RV, and gasoline prices are getting some of the credit.

The auto club says Thanksgiving pump prices are at five-year lows.

Nationwide, AAA says more than 46 million people will travel 50 miles or more from home this Thanksgiving, also the most since 2007.

The Thanksgiving holiday runs from Wednesday, November 26 through Sunday, November 30.
